On July 1, 2020, we joined Presenting Sponsor, PepsiCo for a one-of-a-kind virtual celebration in honor of 25 military moms-to-be. The shower was appropriately named “Celebrate!” and that’s exactly what we did! Guests of honor logged in from military bases spanning from California to Maine, and several stops in-between. Additionally, we were thrilled to have at least one family representing each branch of the military in attendance for the event.
Because this is a unique time to be expecting a child, and some of the usual opportunities to celebrate are not able to happen, we know that our military families still deserve a party! As soon as moms began arriving, we knew that the event was just what we all needed!
“I didn’t get to have a baby shower, but Operation Shower and Pepsi made me feel special with the virtual baby shower that was planned for military moms.” -Ana, a Pepsico Showered Mom
Elisha Beach, Founder of The Mom Forum popped in to share some helpful self-care tips. PepsiCo reps, Gretchen Talley and Dan Luby expressed appreciation for everything our military families endure in service to our country.
Prior to the gathering, honorees received a “B is for Baby” gift box. Boxes were filled with a variety of items to help make life a bit easier for mom and baby’s first year together. Among the favorite items were Wubbanub pacifiers, muslin swaddle blankets from Angel Dear, and books from United Through Reading. Moms also received several additional surprises throughout the event, including a video baby monitor from Infant Optics and a Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat.
Thanks to our special guests for helping to make the day so special for those in attendance! Thanks also to Hostess with the Mostess for creating our event graphics!
