On Sunday March 1, the WGC-Cadillac Championship hosted the first ever Operation Shower at Trump National Doral. 25 military moms-to-be whose spouses are deployed members of the U.S. Military attended the shower on the Blue Monster. The event provided an opportunity for moms to share experiences and to receive gifts donated by Birdies for the Brave, Pastime for Patriots, South Florida Cadillac Dealers, and United Healthcare.
“It’s really overwhelming,” said Adrianne Wilkinson, one of the 25 mothers who attended the event. “With all the gifts and everything I’m kind of in shock really. It’s very awesome that they show there appreciation like this.”
“We’re very excited to be here at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral with Operation Shower and Birdies for the Brave,” said Amy Belle Isle, Chief Event Planner at Operation Shower. “We’re so happy to celebrate with 25 military moms and military moms-to-be from the Miami area. We gave them a day full of fun, gifts, laughter, and most of all thanks and appreciation for their service and sacrifice. I cannot thank Birdies for the Brave, Pastime For Patriots, South Florida Cadillac Dealers, and United Healthcare enough.”
