A little background about yourself and/or your company.
I am the founder + creative director of The TomKat Studio, a blog + shop dedicated to sharing creative ideas for entertaining, decorating, recipes + crafts.
When did you first start working with/giving to Operation Shower?
I first designed a printable collection to benefit Operation Shower in 2010. My first event experience with Operation Shower was the Sunshine Safari Baby Shower in 2012 in San Diego.
Why did you chose Operation Shower as a way of giving back?
When fellow party blogger Amy Belle Isle reached out to me to work with Operation Shower, I knew it was a wonderful cause to support. It is the perfect fit for our team to decorate and help with these amazing events for deserving military families.
What does giving back to military families through Operation Shower mean to you/your company?
Seeing these amazing women at the Operation Shower events is such a wonderful experience. They are so deserving for all that they do to support our country, so it is an incredible feeling to be able to give back and celebrate them and their new arrivals!
What has been one of your favorite memories of working with Operation Shower?
One of my favorite memories of working with Operation Shower was at the first event we helped with. I had the sweetest mom-to-be at my table and her tears were flowing as we presented her with gift after gift for her new baby. I knew right then that this was something I would be involved with for a long time!
If you could say one thing to military moms and families, what would it be?
Thank you so much for your service to our country. Where would we be without you? It is our pleasure to give back to you for all that you do for us!
