Military mothers and moms-to-be were honored with the first Operation Shower event in New York City at the New York Marriott East Side where we honored 75 moms from Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst.
Our wonderful sponsor, Babies ‘R’ Us provided so much more than just their generous sponsorship. They also gifted each mom a $100 gift card and donated many of the new mom essentials included in each Shower in a Box! Among the gifts we showered our wonderful military moms with were a rockaroo by 4moms, baby carriers by Ergobaby, and Skip Hop diaper bags.
We had lots of help presenting these big giveaways from our volunteers, as well as New York Yankee Wives Jessica Gardner and Casey Headley.
The celebration really was full of big city style thanks to the graphic and event design by Hostess with the Mostess. How perfectly paired was Jenn’s design with the Lady Liberty and Taxi Cab cut outs from Ten23 Designs? Being in New York, the day’s theme was “Start Spreading the News” and it was perfectly reflected in the adorable dessert table created by Save the Date for Cupcakes. Fun to Eat Fruit provided darling custom apples and The Hue Studio in Chicago in connection with Over the Top Linens provided beautiful table linens. The hand-painted photo area runner from the Original Runner Company set the perfect scene for our VIP Moms!
