We were baking some buns in the oven and cooking up lots of fun for our military moms! For this shower Hostess with the Mostess designed an absolutely adorable set of printables to set the stage for our Baby Bistro themed shower.
Celebrating Little Buns
Thirty-three military moms from the Army and National Guard attended Baby Bistro. Upon entering the bistro, the guests were treated to gifts from The Carrying On Project and were invited to make custom baby bibs, while DJ Ray set the mood to music. The shower was underway and lunch was served!
Our host for the event was Taina Maya from KWTX News 10. We were so happy to be able to work with her again in showering our moms. Our military families were honored in Killeen, Texas by H-E-B, who was the shower’s presenting sponsor. The Community Coordinator for H-E-B, Johnny Mojica and Tamra Jones, the H-E-B Public Affairs Manager, assisted in making sure that all our moms were set to be spoiled with love and appreciation!
Buns of fun!
The moms played lots of baby shower games, with chances to win some awesome prizes. Thank you to 4moms, Kendra Scott Jewelry and WavHello for donating items that our moms were thrilled to take home!
The highlight of our showers is always the Shower in a Box. H-E-B donated so many items and put just as many smiles on the faces of our moms! Items like onesies, blankets, diapers, and handmade hats from Happy Hats were just some of the needed items that we were able to present to our military families. Beyond these items, H-E-B surprised our families (and us!) with extra gifts for them. The best was probably the oversized bunny friends that they sent home for each baby to enjoy.
Cooking with Gratitude
We had a beautiful time showering our moms, babies, and dads. A special thank you to Annaliese of Made of Sugar and Spice Parties for helping us to put all of the ingredients together for such a wonderful celebration! We’re truly grateful for our volunteers and supporters; thank you for helping us show these special families how much they are cared for. We also want to thank Confetti Rentals for providing the linens and tableware to help cater to our moms.
