What a way to bring paradise to expecting military families! It was a walk in the park partnering with Brad Ziegler and Pastime for Patriots!
Paradise in the Park
We traveled to Marlins Park to celebrate 29 expectant military moms in the area, bringing a baby shower paradise to them. Brad Ziegler, and his non-profit, Pastime for Patriots, welcomed expectant military families from the Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy and Marines.
Brad is a relief pitcher for the Miami Marlins. The grandson of a U.S. Army Colonel who served in the Korean War, Ziegler has been a steadfast supporter of our military. Pastime for Patriots, is dedicated to honoring all members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families for their extreme sacrifice to our country. They serve in many ways, such as sponsoring baby showers for military families like Paradise in the Park!
Also joining us was Kelly Saco of FOX Sports FL. She co-hosted alongside Brad to give our families a shower they would never forget! Kelly is a multi-talented Host, Reporter, and Producer with a wide breadth of experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry. She is currently the host and producer of Marlins Clubhouse; she is also a contributing reporter for the Miami Marlins broadcast on Fox Sports Florida. Her vibrant talents were shared with our moms, as she is an avid supporter and advocate for military families!
Paradise for a Day
To truly bring the theme to life, Bambino Soiree donated the perfect Miami themed chairs and chair pads. Oriental Trading provided bamboo placemats and coordinating glassware and plates; M&J Custom Events donated beautiful tropical floral centerpieces. The Creative Heart Studio treated us with incredible balloon art to decorate the venue. Pamela Smerker created Miami-inspired printables to set the tone for the hottest shower around!
A few questions to get to know the moms was a great way to start our event. Everyone knows that baby showers have to have games and prizes! We were able to give some really great gifts to our honored guests. Lula Roe from Michelle Donahue, bedding from Carousel Designs, baby carriers, and lots of needed essentials from 4moms; these were just a few of the items with which we spoiled our families. Our amazing photographer, Modern Image by Candy, also gave one lucky mom an individual newborn photo session.
The Shower in a Box presented goodies from new donors including Love Bug Probiotics, Pumping Essentials, and Kiinde. In addition to the Shower in a Box, the moms were treated to an extra surprise from Kendra Scott! The local store location kept the celebrations going by offering our moms an in-store baby shower with friends!
Paradise is Sweet
The sweets are always a favorite with our guests! Lov Create Design made stunning paper flowers to adorn the dessert table. The delectables were displayed on beautiful cake plates and stands from Nicks and Mae. Cake pops from Pastry is Art, with brownies and cookies from Levy Restaurants also served our sweet tooth well! Dipp PhotoBooth treated the moms to photo fun and Levy Catering provided a delicious lunch.
We truly wanted to stay in paradise, but we had to wrap up the festivities. Our sincerest gratitude to the Marlins and special guests, the Marlins Better Halves, for helping to shower our military families. The Better Halves did a beautiful job of supporting and encouraging our mothers!
