Life is a picnic when we team up with Pedroia Platoon and this special baby shower was no exception!
Let’s Gather Together for a Picnic
Paper and Cake designed the cutest printables, which set the theme for the day. To get ready for this amazing day in the park, we teamed up with the Red Sox wives to pack gifts and supplies. We had 25 moms to shower (and a set of triplets!) to prepare for, so it was definitely a team effort. We’re so thankful to have the wives as part of the Operation Shower team!
For this event, we welcomed families from the Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Army. Dustin and Kelli Pedroia were our gracious hosts, through their organization Pedroia Platoon, along with the Red Sox Foundation, Jordan’s Furniture, and Aramark. The Pedroias have such a strong passion for supporting military families and it’s always a joy to be able to serve our families with them. The Red Sox wives are just as incredible in their support, gifting our moms with gift baskets worth over $300 each! Talk about a picnic basket full of surprises!
Gifting More Than Pacifiers
Baby showers are always more fun when there are games involved! From raffles, to Bingo, to team efforts, we were able to surprise our moms with more needed and exciting prizes! Sassy Mouth Photography is another steadfast supporter of our military families. In addition to being there to capture such precious moments, she gifted a newborn photo session to a lucky winner! New Balance Baseball generously gave each baby a matching onesie and shoe set. Jordan’s Furniture shocked each family with a $500 gift card to purchase new nursery furniture! Our longtime friends at Wubbanub gifted each baby with a Red Sox themed pacifier! How fun!
The fun didn’t stop there; when we say that we support our military families, we go all out! To help prepare for baby’s arrival, we gave each one our signature Shower in a Box. Thanks to Kiinde, Toys for Tots, Sili, GUND, and so many others, we were able to give them the items they would need the most.
In the Picnic Basket
Aramark treated our sweet families to some sweet treats and they enjoyed cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. It’s hard to have a picnic and pacifiers themed shower and not spend a day in the park. Thanks to the Red Sox Foundation, each family was invited to join in for a home baseball game!
For the third time teaming up with Pedroia Platoon and the Red Sox Foundation, this Picnic and Pacifiers themed shower was a home run!
