Stroll through the Colorado Rocky Mountains with our military families and PepsiCo! What better way to explore the neighborhood than with a baby shower showing you all there is to do as a family?!
Stroll Through the Fun of the Rockies
Operation Shower brought the fun and adventure of the Colorado Rocky Mountains to our families at the PepsiCo shower in Colorado. On top of the beautiful graphic designs created by Pamela Smerker for the shower, each table was themed as an outing perfect for family exploration! The Botanic Gardens and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo are local places for kids to wander through and discover nature. The Denver Children’s Museum gives them a chance to explore on their learning levels. Water World and Elitch Gardens are ready to entertain and amuse everyone!
The local attractions set a lively atmosphere, as we showered expectant spouses of deployed military service members. We couldn’t share highlights of the area without a local celebrity! We were very fortunate to have mom (again!)-to-be, Brie Groves of KOAA to host the event. She led our guests through all of the laughs and love shown throughout the day.
Stroll Through and Play
Baby showers are always more fun when there are games! Our showers are no different. We work to make these special events memorable and one way to do that is with “full” diapers.
Wait, what?!
Moms played lots of fun games for tickets to be redeemed for prizes at this shower. Mountain Diaper Toss was a big hit with our guests; those mamas know how to handle business with a diaper! They then showed off their multitasking skills in the Stroller Packing Race. For their willingness to play a few hysterical games, we were able to reward all of these winners with some incredible prizes!
Peg Perego Step Stools and Bath Tubs were a big prize of the day! The Carrying On Project provided each mom with a carrier for their little ones and helped to demonstrate how to use them. Even though the event was held in one place, all of the venues represented invited the families over with passes to their location! They really got a chance to stroll through and explore the Rockies!
Rachel Hollis’ new book, Girl, Wash Your Face, was a surprise gift to each of the moms in attendance and such a source of encouragement for them. Kendra Scott and Graceful Sage & Denver Bath Bomb Co. gave items to remind the moms of just how special and deserving they are.
Pack a Lunch
Our incredible sponsor, PepsiCo, gave each of our families gift boxes full of snacks and goodies for them to enjoy. Picnic Basket Catering provided the delicious meal for the day. The beautiful and delectable desserts were created for all of our guests to enjoy. A cake, cupcakes, and cake pops gave enough sugar fuel to keep everyone going. Persnickety Place supplied individual cookie favors for each honoree in attendance.
