DREAMING of the perfect baby shower….
Nineteen military moms-to-be couldn’t DREAM of a better baby shower than what they received on Wednesday, April 17th at the 2019 RBC Heritage presented by Boeing – held at Doc’s BBQ at 15/Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island.
Our “Sweet Dreams” shower was sponsored by Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes (LFWMH) – a non-profit dedicated to addressing the growing need to help service members returning home from combat with serious injuries and disabilities re-integrate into civilian life. “The men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces sacrifice so much to ensure the safety and freedom of all Americans, and we owe them and their families an enormous debt of gratitude,” said Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes Founder, Russ Spicer. “We truly admire the courage and strength of military moms experiencing pregnancy during deployment, and we are delighted to help provide an opportunity for them to celebrate and share camaraderie with other moms in the same situation during this special shower.”
Hosting the SWEET day was Brittany Kisner,wife of PGA TOUR player Kevin Kisner, who not only attended the shower (and held babies!) but played in the 2019 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing tournament that week. Other special guests included PGA TOUR professionals Bill Haas, Morgan Hoffmann and K.J. Choi.
Our co-sponsor for the day was the PGA Tour Wives Association who not only assisted with fun games and handed out raffles prizes but made these moms feel extra special by rocking and loving on all the little ones who were there. Thank you once again for being such a believer in Operation Shower!

What’s a dreamy baby shower without great food and amazing gifts? A big thank you to Southern Way Catering for providing and serving yummy southern barbecue to our guests. Thank you as well to our amazing product donors who helped us pamper each mom by either providing items for our “Shower In A Box” or providing a wonderful “out of the box” gift that our moms never expected. Special thanks to Peg Perego, Forsythe Jewelers, Little Book of You, Mud Pie and Playtex Baby. Our moms couldn’t say enough about all the items they could now check off their wish-list!
