What do you do when the world is shut down but you still want to honor expecting military moms? Throw a Virtual Baby Shower, of course!
Thanks to Jim and Tabitha Furyk and the Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation, we were able to honor 19 moms and moms-to be for our very first Mother’s Day Virtual Baby Shower! And because nobody knows how to throw a baby shower like Operation Shower, our showered moms felt the love and excitement (almost) like being in person. Games, prizes, special guests and the chance to just talk to others who are also stuck at home, is all you really need to throw a party.
Because we love to show our moms how special they are, the guests were treated to a sweet “thank you for what you do” video from Operation Shower friend Melissa Joan Hart. And if that wasn’t enough, new mom and Nickelodeon star, Daniella Monet joined the call to talk about being a new mom and finding the good in quarantine life with children.
While we love an in-person shower and hugging on our military families, we won’t complain about any opportunity to honor those that serve our country and sometimes get missed. Thank you Jim and Tabitha Furyk for helping us find a NEW way to throw a baby shower!
