….and what an adventure it was! Getting together with 40 moms and moms-to-be for our first in-person shower in over a year was better than we could have ever expected. Collaborating once again with the Travelers Championship and the generosity of ConnectiCare, its safe to say that every mom, guest, sponsor and little one in attendance felt it was worth the “wait”!
With our “Adventure Awaits” theme in full “gear”, guests heard from Sponsors who showed their love and appreciation for our military moms who keep things going at home, from our friend Captain Todd Moore who spoke about his own experiences and challenges when it comes to raising a family in the Navy and from Operation Shower who told the story of how we started and why we honor each and every expecting military spouse. Tears of joy, surprise and happiness flowed throughout the day reminding us all that life is an adventure and good days lay ahead!
Shower games, raffle prizes, decorating onesies, a Shower in a Box and a “cool” retro cooler donated by Igloo were just a few of the items on the days camping checklist and with the assistance of each tables Adventure Guide, every showered mom was well taken care of for the day.
