Partners for the 7th time, H-E-B and Operation Shower teamed up to bring joy and laughter (and maybe a few gifts) to 40 local military moms and moms-to-be! This “fruitful” celebration took place at The Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, Texas and the view couldn’t have been any better. Ashley Goudeau, anchor/reporter for KVUE-TV in Austin was the day’s official emcee. She enthusiastically led the moms and their guests in some fun games, raffle prizes and kept moms entertained and happy.
“We are honored to partner with Operation Shower to express our immeasurable appreciation to these courageous military moms-to-be for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our country,” said H-E-B Public Affairs Manager Johnny Mojica. “Deployments take a toll on every member of the family, and we are delighted to help spread joy, love and gratitude to these women for everything they do at home and on the front lines to keep America safe and free.”
Whether it was each mom receiving a Shower in a Box containing an assortment of essentials for mom and baby; including handmade items from The Yarn Divas, gifts from Wubbanub, Little Toader, Skip Hop, Pediped Footwear, Noodle & Boo, and many more, hearing some encouraging words from the sponsor, taking advantage of the photo booth, grabbing a fun dessert or just meeting other moms in the same situation, it was obvious these moms enjoyed this beautiful day in Texas. Operation Shower was honored to host these families to a day of love, joy and connection!
A warm THANK YOU to Delta Children, Stella & Dot, United Through Reading, and H-E-B gifts for the baby product donations gifted to each mom. Special thanks to Small Moments for providing the adorable graphic designs that served as the inspiration for Carolina of Mint Event Design, who led and executed another lovely shower for our moms to be!
