Operation Shower and Discover presented 28 expectant military women with a group baby shower in Phoenix, Arizona on October 27th. All of the moms were the spouses or partners of deployed military members from area bases, or in some cases, were active duty military members themselves. Emmy Award-winning Good Morning Arizona Anchor Olivia Fierro served as the event’s guest host and emcee.
One of 15 Operation Shower events held in 2022 – including an additional shower with Discover on October 25 in Salt Lake City, Utah — the “Peek-a-Boo”-themed shower featured a catered lunch, raffle prizes, and the highlight of the event, the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature “Showers In A Box”— gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that were generously donated by companies and individuals including Discover, Stella & Dot, Delta Children, 4moms and Serta.
“Discover volunteers look forward to this event as a way to give back to our local military community and demonstrate the importance of getting involved in the area where they live and work,” said Tracy Hedrick, vice president of operations at Discover.
It was a fun-filled day with smile and love all around!
