So excited we could POP!
The New England Patriots Foundation and PepsiCo showered 30 military moms-to-be on Wednesday, November 16th with a fun, retro-style baby shower at the Optum Field Lounge at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The “Ready To Pop” themed event included a catered lunch, raffles, games (with prizes!), Operation Shower’s signature Shower In A Box and many other fun and useful gifts for expecting and new military families. Gifts donated by generous companies including Stella & Dot, Delta Children, PepsiCo, 4moms and the New England Patriots Foundation were given to each family in attendance to be taken home to add to their little one’s nursery.
Each guest was seated with other expecting families while WBZ-TV reporter Anna Meiler served as the event’s guest host and emcee for the event. The goal being to leave any cares or worries at home, it was obvious each mom not only enjoyed the day but the opportunity to share camaraderie with other military moms-to-be.
“PepsiCo has a long legacy of supporting America’s military families, and we are delighted to join with Operation Shower and the New England Patriots Foundation for the fourth year in a row to show our tremendous appreciation to all of the amazing moms being honored at this special shower,” said PepsiCo Global Integration Manager for E-Commerce Dan Luby. “In the military, families serve too. Their resilience, courage and patriotism are immeasurable, and our nation owes them an enormous debt of gratitude.”
“The military has always been very important to my family, and we take great pride in celebrating our military members and their families,” said Josh Kraft, president of the New England Patriots Foundation. “Raising a family while balancing multiple moves and deployments is challenging. By hosting this event, we are hoping to be able to relieve some of the stress and provide these growing families with essential items. We thank our great partners at PepsiCo for their shared commitment to military families and for their support of this event.”
