As part of its company-wide Operation Appreciation program, H-E-B brought joy to 30 local military moms-to-be on Monday, February 27, when it hosts an Operation Shower group baby shower in their honor. All of the expectant moms are active-duty service members or the spouses or partners of deployed members of San Antonio area military bases. The shower took place at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, in San Antonio, Texas. Lori Stinson, vice president, of military affairs and leadership development with the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, served as the event’s guest host and emcee.
Presented by H-E-B, the “Fiesta”-themed event included a catered lunch, raffle prizes, games, and the highlight of the event, the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature “Showers In A Box”— gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been generously donated by companies including H-E-B, 4moms, Diaper Genie, Mud Pie, and United Through Reading.
“We are honored to partner with Operation Shower to express our immeasurable appreciation to these courageous military moms-to-be for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our country,” said H-E-B Public Affairs Manager Johnny Mojica. “Deployments take a toll on every member of the family, and we are delighted to help spread joy, love, and gratitude to these women for everything they do at home and on the front lines to keep America safe and free.”
