A Star is Born!
PepsiCo and the Dallas Cowboys helped to bring a day of joy to 25 military moms and moms-to-be on Monday, November 6, 2023, when they hosted an Operation Shower® group baby shower in their honor. The event was held at the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters at The Star in Frisco, and multiple Emmy Award-winning CBS 11 news anchor Doug Dunbar served as emcee. All of the attending moms are active-duty military members or the spouses or partners of active duty or deployed members of various local military bases and the Texas National Guard.
The “A Star is Born”-themed event was designed by Hostess with the Mostess, and included a catered lunch, raffles and contests with prizes. Guests also received Operation Shower’s signature Showers in a Box – gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been donated by generous companies including PepsiCo, the Dallas Cowboys, Delta Children, Diaper Genie, Evenflo, Wrangler Jeans, and Kendra Scott.
In addition to gifts, the moms were honored by several guest speakers. As one mom put it, “The heartfelt speeches from the guest speakers really hit home, and their kind words meant the most out of anything. It was incredibly humbling and appreciated to hear all of the nice words from them.”
