Thirty incredible military moms-to-be were celebrated with an unforgettable Operation Shower baby shower on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at The Dana on Mission Bay in beautiful San Diego, California. Each expectant mother, a partner of deployed service members from nearby bases, or an active-duty military member herself was honored in a heartfelt shower. The event was emceed by the esteemed Robert John Hughes, a nationally recognized broadcaster, marketing expert, and author, whose impressive background includes serving as a White House radio and TV correspondent and hosting on San Diego’s 102.1 KPRi Radio.
With support from the San Diego Friends of Operation Shower, Dianne Gregg and Elliott Rosen presented the beautiful California Dreamin’-themed celebration, featuring a delightful catered brunch, exciting raffles, and engaging contests with fabulous prizes and inspiring guest speakers. The highlight of the day was the heartwarming distribution of Operation Shower’s signature Showers In A Box—thoughtfully curated gifts filled with high-quality products for mothers and babies, donated by generous individuals and companies including the San Diego Friends of Operation Shower, Jennifer Margolin, Boulevard Salon – La Jolla, Templeton Skin Care, Uli Heine, Joie Baby, Skip Hop, Angelcare, Diaper Genie and Delta Children.
“We are excited to join with Operation Shower, the San Diego Friends of Operation Shower, and many wonderful local businesses and individuals to provide these extraordinary moms and moms-to-be with an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful milestone together,” said shower hosts Dianne Gregg and Elliott Rosen. “Whether they are serving abroad or keeping everything running smoothly at home so their loved ones can proudly serve our country, we owe these amazing women a tremendous debt of gratitude.”
