On April 15, 2025, Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes joined Operation Shower to bring a day of joy to 20 local military moms-to-be with a Coastal Cutie-themed group baby shower. All of the expectant moms are active-duty service members or the spouses or partners of deployed members of area bases. The shower took place at the beautiful Sonesta Resort in South Carolina.
The event included a delicious catered brunch, raffle prizes, games, and the highlight of the event, the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature “Showers In A Box”— gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been generously donated by companies and organizations including the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes, Vera Bradley, Chicco, Joie Baby, Skip Hop, Angelcare, Diaper Genie and Delta Children.
“For the sixth year in a row, we are honored to partner with Operation Shower to express our immeasurable appreciation to these courageous military moms-to-be for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our country,” said Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes CEO Russ Spicer. “Deployments take a toll on every member of the family, and we are delighted to help spread joy, love and gratitude to these women for everything they do to keep America safe and free.”
