In an early Mother’s Day celebration to kick off tournament week, the PGA TOUR’s Truist Championship joined our team to bring a day of joy to 28 local military moms-to-be (with 30 babies) on Monday, May 5, 2025 with a group baby shower in their honor.
The shower took place at the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia, PA, with Emmy Award-winning CBS Philadelphia journalist Nikki DeMentri serving as emcee.
Our “Sweet As Can Bee”-themed celebration was BEE-yond fun and included gifts from Truist Championship, Diaper Genie, AngelCare, Joie Baby, Skip Hop, @crochetedbyterry and more! Logistical support for the shower was graciously provided by Comcast Business.
“We were honored to partner with Operation Shower to express our immeasurable appreciation to these courageous military moms-to-be for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our country,” said Truist Championship Executive Director Joie Chitwood. “Deployments take a toll on every member of the family, and we were delighted to recognize these amazing women for everything they do to help keep America safe and free.”
