The Islanders Children’s Foundation and presenting sponsor, Ryan Tax, partnered with Operation Shower to host a memorable baby shower for 25 military moms-to-be in the area. This special event took place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at UBS Arena. Joining the celebration, Shannon Hogan, the talented host and reporter from MSG Networks, served as our delightful emcee for this hockey-themed gathering!
Some might say the best part of the shower was Operation Shower’s signature Showers-In-A-Box which included premium products for moms and babies, generously donated by the New York Islanders, Ryan Tax, Diaper Genie, Angelcare, Mamazing, Dr. Brown’s, Quincy Mae, and Babbleroo.
While games were played and prizes were handed out, attendees enjoyed a delicious catered lunch and desserts! And let’s not forget a surprise visit from the Islanders’ beloved mascot, Sparky who always brings fun and excitement!
We are grateful for another year with the New York Islanders, The Islanders WAGs and Ryan Tax for their help in supporting the military families we serve.
