Pack your bags and grab your passport because we’re taking you a on a little journey inside our “Welcome to the World, Baby” shower at Camp LeJeune with our sponsor, Babies“R”Us!
For 40 deserving moms, the adventure began as soon as they entered the door and saw the vibrant travel-themed shower created just for them! Table designs were inspired by the theme set with the adorable graphic designs by Paper&Cake.
What is a trip without souvenirs? Moms were treated to beautiful portraits by Dyal Photography and photo memories from the shower. Incredibly sweet vendors sent delicious treats for our moms to enjoy. But we know that souvenirs aren’t enough when you’re touring the world! Of course, we had to give our moms a few other gifts to take back home from their “trip.”
You realize that when Operation Shower says “a few gifts” that we really mean “you’re going to need several suitcases, a bellman and a luggage cart to get all of this out,” right? Thanks to Babies R Us and several generous donors, we were able to make sure that our moms had a world of supplies to welcome their new little ones home!
With any of our Operation Shower adventures, we always ask ourselves “what was your favorite part?” Well, for us, the answer is clear. Seeing the smiles and joy on the moms’ faces, watching them meet, and connect with, new friends in the same situation is always the best part of what we do. It’s truly a memory that will last a lifetime!
