In collaboration with the PGA TOUR’s WM Phoenix Open and through the generosity of PRO EM National Event Services, Operation Shower hosted a group baby shower for 35 military moms-to-be on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Honorees came from Fort Huachuca, Davis Monthan Air Force Base, and Luke Air Force Base. For our 12th year of hosting group baby showers at the WM Phoenix Open, the theme was “Grown with Love”. We were thrilled to have Emmy Award-winning journalist and Good Morning Arizona News Anchor Tess Rafols join us again as our Emcee for the day. Throughout the event, Tess helped to surprise our moms and moms-to-be with a variety of gifts which were provided by our generous in-kind donors; WM, Discover Honoring Military & Veterans Group, Romp & Roost; 4Moms; Mud Pie, and, Delta Children. Each mom also went home with Operation Shower’s Signature “Shower In A Box” which included a variety of newborn essentials, valued at $500.
As attendees enjoyed a delicious meal provided by M Culinary Concepts we heard from several guest speakers including Command Chief Master Sergeant, Markiesha Crawford. The cake from @inspiredsugar was almost too pretty to eat!
PRO EM National Event Services Principal Brady Castro said, “We are proud to join with Operation Shower and the WM Phoenix Open to show our immense appreciation to these courageous military moms-to-be. Whether they are serving on the front lines or keeping everything running smoothly at home, we owe them an enormous debt of gratitude for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our country.”
