On October 21, we spent a wheel-y wonderful afternoon with 25 show-stopping military moms-to-be at our “Big Fun for Little One” baby shower in Corpus Christi, TX, with our presenter, H-E-B Operation Appreciation! Held at the Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Downtown Marina, we were honored to have the opportunity to celebrate such incredible women, all active-duty service members or the spouses and partners of deployed military members, with a day full of joy, gratitude, and fun under the big top.
With emcee KRIS-TV Evening News Anchor and Reporter Clara Benitez-Cortez as our ringmaster, the event was a Ferris wheel of fun as guests enjoyed a prize-worthy catered lunch, fabulous games, and raffles with dizzying surprises!
The main attraction arrived when each mom received Operation Shower’s signature “Shower In A Box.” Thanks to generous donors like H-E-B, Diaper Genie, Angelcare, Dr. Brown’s, Babbleroo, Delta Children, and Janelle McDonnell Photography, these thoughtfully assembled gift boxes were overflowing with high-quality products for both mom and baby.
Extra special thanks to H-E-B, whose long-time support made this event so spectacular as love, appreciation, and community created connections that will keep on spinning long after these families welcome their little ones to the world!
