We were over the moon about the 25 shining military moms and moms-to-be we met on November 5th for our “Dream Big” baby shower at the Northwest Stadium’s Club Level Gold Lounge in Landover, MD! With the Washington Commanders as partners of our presenter PepsiCo, this celestial celebration was a stellar tribute to the incredible women, all of whom are either the partners and spouses of deployed military service members or active-duty themselves, from bases across the DC metro area.
With award-winning journalist and WUSA9 News Anchor Simone DeAlba as emcee, every moment was out of this world! Guests enjoyed a delicious catered lunch, fun games, dazzling door prizes, and plenty of laughter as moms connected and made treasured memories that will continue to shine on.
Of course, the star of the show was Operation Shower’s signature “Shower-In-A-Box” and the smiles they brought to each mom! These gift boxes twinkled with high-quality products, thanks to the generosity of PepsiCo, the Washington Commanders, Angelcare, Diaper Genie, Delta Children, BC Babycare, Wegmans, and Dr. Brown’s.
“PepsiCo has a long legacy of supporting America’s military families, and we are proud to continue our strong partnership with Operation Shower and the Washington Commanders to show our tremendous gratitude to all of the amazing moms being honored at this special shower,” said Daniel Luby, Director Warehouse Service at PepsiCo. “This event is a heartfelt tribute to those who serve our country and the families who serve behind the scenes – whose sacrifices often go unseen but are deeply felt. Through our 14-year partnership with Operation Shower, we are humbled to recognize their courage, commitment, and the unwavering support they provide to their families and our country.”
“We’re proud to partner with PepsiCo and Operation Shower to celebrate and support an extraordinary group of military moms and their families,” said Corinne Weltman, Senior Director of Community Impact, Washington Commanders. “These women exemplify strength and sacrifice every day, and we’re honored to create a space where they can connect, feel appreciated, and access the resources they need as they begin this exciting new chapter. Giving back to military families is a cornerstone of our community commitment, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to show our appreciation for all they do.
Thanks to support from PepsiCo and the Washington Commanders, this shower was a galaxy of gratitude, glowing with appreciation and love!
