On September 23, we had a dino-mite time with 30 incredible military moms and moms-to-be at our “Hatching Soon” baby shower in Colorado Springs, presented by PepsiCo with support from the Colorado Springs Switchbacks! Held at Weidner Field, the afternoon was Jurassic-packed with joy as these amazing women — active-duty service members or the spouses and partners of deployed military members of local military bases — gathered to celebrate new little hatchlings on the way.
From the moment guests arrived, the event was tricera-top notch! With KOAA-TV Evening News Anchor and three-time Emmy Award winner Dianne Derby leading the way as our guest host, the moms enjoyed a delicious lunch, games that were raptor-ously fun, exciting raffles, and plenty of laughter.
Like always, watching the moms open Operation Shower’s signature “Shower In A Box” made our hearts saur! These t-rexcellent gift boxes were packed with high-quality items for both moms and babies, donated by wonderful companies including PepsiCo, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, Diaper Genie, Angelcare, Babbleroo, Phil Long, Dr. Brown’s, Douglas Cuddle Toys, and more.

Since 2015, PepsiCo and Operation Shower have showered more than 400 military moms-to-be in the Colorado Springs area. Thanks to PepsiCo’s generosity, this event was truly ext-roar-dinary, filled with connection, laughter, and memories that will never go extinct!
