“We’re honored to partner with Operation Shower in celebrating these incredible military moms-to-be and thanking them for their service,” said Veterans United Foundation Manager Erika Pryor. “Whether they are serving in uniform or providing strength and support at home, these courageous women deserve to be recognized. We’re grateful for the opportunity to express our deep appreciation through this special baby shower.”
On May 15, 2025, we joined forces for the first time with Veterans United Foundation to shower 27 local military moms-to-be in St. Charles, Missouri. Our colorful “Little Bundles of Joy” themed group baby shower took place at the Bogey Hills Country Club. Emmy Award-winning First Alert 4 News Anchor and St. Louis native Claire Kellett served as our delightful emcee and shared meaningful mom advice with our guests of honor.
This celebration included a delicious catered lunch, raffle prizes, and Operation Shower’s signature “Showers In A Box”—gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies generously donated by caring companies and organizations, including the Veterans United Foundation, Diaper Genie, Stella and Dot, AngelCare, Joie Baby, Skip Hop, Chicco, and The Artori Group.
U.S. Coast Guard Veteran Amy Vanderhaden, wife of Veterans United Home Loans Advisor and formerly the 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard Jason Vanderhaden, spoke about their experience raising a family during 13 permanent changes of station (PCS.) Amy was active duty for five years and also served, keeping everything running smoothly at home during Jason’s 34 years of distinguished service. Both of their children are currently in the Coast Guard.
“We know first-hand what it means to raise a family while serving our country. We are so thankful that caring and compassionate nonprofits like Veterans United Foundation exist to help our military families navigate the challenges of parenthood during military service,” said Amy Vanderhaden.
