Operation Shower was honored to meet twenty-four military moms and moms-to-be (celebrating 25 babies) on February 22, 2025, at the PGA National as part of the Cognizant Classic Palm Beaches events in Florida. Presented by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital with support from Pratt & Whitney, our “Special Delivery”-themed group baby shower kicked off the tournaments events and included a catered lunch, raffles and contests with prizes.
“We are excited to join with Operation Shower and the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches to provide these extraordinary moms and moms-to-be with an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful milestone together,” said Nicklaus Children’s Health System President & CEO Matthew Love. “Whether they are serving abroad or keeping everything running smoothly at home so their loved ones can proudly serve our country, we owe these amazing women a tremendous debt of gratitude.”
The highlight of the event was Operation Shower’s signature Shower In A Box and gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been donated by generous companies including Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, Frida Baby, Chicco, Diaper Genie, Delta Children, AngelCare and Stella & Dot.
“The Cognizant Classic is dedicated to supporting the communities that make our tournament possible, and few are more deserving of our gratitude than military families,” said Todd Fleming, executive director of the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. “Their service and sacrifice extend far beyond the uniform, and we’re proud to give back by celebrating these incredible moms-to-be. We hope this event brings them joy and reminds them how much they are valued.”
