On August 25, 2026, Centinel Community Fund (Centinel) and Operation Shower® planted the seeds for a truly unforgettable celebration—and oh, what a beautiful day it was!
Forty expectant military moms gathered at the Courtyard by Marriott Killeen for a delightful “Baby in Bloom” baby shower, where love was felt, the smiles filled the room, and the excitement was growing by the minute. These incredible women—active-duty service members and spouses or partners of deployed service members—were treated to an afternoon filled with laughter, games, prizes, gifts, and plenty of flower-powered fun.
Adding an extra sparkle to the celebration, KWTX morning news anchor Ke’Sha Lopez served as guest host and emcee, helping keep the festivities in full swing. With so much joy in the room, it’s safe to say this shower was anything but a daisy affair!
And, of course, no Operation Shower group baby shower would be complete without a little box of sunshine. Each mom received one of our signature Shower-in-a-Box® gifts, thoughtfully filled with treasures made possible by generous handmade artisans, small businesses, and incredible donors including; Centinel Community Fund, Angelcare, Diaper Genie, Chicco, and Delta Children. Each box was a beautiful reminder that this community is rooting for these moms—and their newest little blooms.
For a few precious hours, these military moms could kick back, soak up the love, and celebrate the wonderful journey ahead.
