On March 8, we were blown away by the 38 remarkable military moms-to-be we met at our “New To The Club” group baby shower at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, FL, in partnership with Presented by @theplayerschampionship and their Proud Partners @comcastbusiness @optum @morgan.stanley with support from @furykandfriends, @chicco.usa! Held in the stunning Patriots’ Outpost and with Cox Media Group Morning Show Host Barbie T. Whitmire as our emcee, this celebration was a true hole-in-one complete with a lovely lunch catered by Outback Steakhouse, heartfelt inspirational speakers, shower activities with fabulous prizes, and exciting giveaways as these courageous women gathered to form new friendships and gear up for their little ones on the way.
Again, one of the best moments of the day was seeing the bright smiles of each mom opening Operation Shower’s signature “Shower-In-A-Box!” These curated gift boxes were packed to the brim with high-quality essentials and surprises for both mom and baby, donated by THE PLAYERS and other generous supporters, including Angelcare, Diaper Genie, Comcast Business, WAPE, Morgan Stanley, Chicco, Optum, Jimmy the Movie with Hanes, and Jim and Tabitha Furyk.
“We are thrilled to once again team with Operation Shower to express our tremendous gratitude to all of these remarkable women for their service and sacrifice,” said THE PLAYERS Executive Director Lee Smith. “In the military, families serve too. In partnership with all of the event’s donors and supporters, we are honored to start these families off with many of the essentials they will need for their new bundles of joy, along with some wonderful gifts and a day of fun and celebration.”
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to tee up a day full of joy, connection, and appreciation for these amazing military moms-to-be!
