There was no shortage of sunshine or smiles on June 24, 2026 as Operation Shower teamed up with Veterans United Foundation to throw a “Sweet Summertime” baby shower for 30 incredible military moms-to-be in Columbia, Missouri. From the first hello to the final hug, the afternoon was simply berry special!
Our honored guests—active-duty service members and the spouses and partners of deployed military members—were treated to a celebration overflowing with sweet treats, heartfelt moments, and plenty of reasons to smile. Hosted at The Atrium on Tenth Street, the event featured a delicious catered lunch, laughter-filled baby shower games, exciting prizes, and encouraging words from guest speakers. To top it all off, Y107 Morning Show hosts Cosmo and Kat kept the celebration buzzing with their fun energy as emcees.
The magic didn’t happen by accident! Dedicated volunteers from Veterans United rolled up their sleeves to transform the venue into a summertime celebration that was as warm and welcoming as the families we honored.
Every mom left with Operation Shower’s signature Shower-In-A-Box—a bundle of love packed with baby essentials and thoughtful gifts made possible by the generosity of Veterans United Foundation, Joie Baby USA, Angelcare, First Chance for Children, Diaper Genie, Mud Pie, and Delta Children.
It truly took the cake to see so many caring hands come together to remind these growing military families that they are seen, supported, and celebrated. We are incredibly grateful to the Veterans United Foundation, every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this Sweet Summertime celebration one these deserving moms will treasure long after their little bundles of joy arrive.
