Celebrating the adventures of motherhood!
For the second year in a row we were able to shower moms with love and lot of gifts in Salt Lake City, Utah. Continuing it’s longstanding support of Operation Shower, Discover presented expectant military women with a group baby shower on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Marriott Courtyard in Layton, Utah. All of the moms are the spouses or partners of deployed military members from Hill Air Force Base, Camp Williams, and other area bases, or in some cases, are active-duty military members themselves. Fox 13 News Morning Anchor and Good Day Utah Reporter April Baker served as the event’s guest host and emcee.
“Adventure Awaits!” the theme of the shower featured a catered brunch, raffle prizes, and the highlight of the event, the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature “Showers In A Box”— gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been generously donated by companies including Discover, Dr. Brown’s, Diaper Genie and Delta Children.
Hostess with the Mostess provided the adorable camping-themed graphic design services. And, the camping theme continued with custom-designed onesies and hand-knit hats resembling pine trees. Blown Out of Proportion Balloons blew us all away with their amazing balloon backdrops and decor. Check out all the pictures from the event on our Facebook page.
Operation Shower was thrilled to be on this adventure again with so many returning Discover Utah volunteers, as well as some new volunteers we hope to see again.
“Discover is delighted to once again team up with Operation Shower to extend our deep appreciation to these amazing women for everything they do at home or on the front lines in service to our country,” said Dani Worrell
