Apple of My Eye
The phrase apple of my eye refers to someone that one cherishes above all others and it’s the perfect way to describe the love of a mother and her baby. So of course this would be an awesome theme for our baby shower in Fort Hood, Texas! Hosted by Taina Maya, a local morning news anchor at KWTX, the shower was held at the Killeen Civic and Convention Center, and 40 moms and moms-to-be from Ft Hood were showered with bushels of love in an event presented by Lend Lease Community Fund.
You know it’s going to be an adorable day when you gather so much creative talent under one roof! With graphics designed by Hostess with the Mostess and our little furry friends made into wooden cutouts by Ten23 Designs, apples and endearing hedgehogs are combined with a modern twist on this timeless theme. When it came to desserts, Bella Grey Designs strategically planted the sweets to make an awesome orchard of desserts for our moms and guests!
A Bushel of Apple Prizes
Moms mingled with each other while they decorated onesies and took pictures in the Blue Trunk Photo Booth. DJ Muscle Ray was generously donated tunes and kept the party going, while the wonderful Amanda Bailey Photography made sure each smile was captured.
Since an apple never falls far from it’s tree, it’s a good thing that our trees were dropping barrels of gifts! Picaboo sent each mom home with a gift card to help them turn their photos into memories. Lublini Custom Bedding gave gift cards for moms to use for baby. Milkbarn also raffled off prizes to some lucky winners, including a MAM bottle set and a Prince Lionheart balance bike! Cosco also graciously gifted each mom with a much needed car seat for babies on the go!
There were certainly no bad apples in this bunch! Head over to the Facebook page to see more photos of this sweet shower!
