It was all a dream…
Our first shower with Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes was an absolute dream! Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes hosted military moms in South Carolina along with support from the PGA TOUR Wives Association, Birdies for the Brave, and RBC Heritage. They went out of their way to help us give 18 deserving families the most beautiful baby shower for their little ones.
The PGA TOUR introduced their new brand by gifting the babies with “Live Under Par” bibs and pacifiers. Alicia Malnati, Vice President of Fundraising for the PGA TOUR Wives Association was our hostess for the event. She works in tandem with the University of Tennessee Center for Sport, Peace and Society and is the wife of Peter Malnati; they traveled in from Tennessee to help us honor our families.
We were also joined by Russ Spicer, who is the Chairman and co-founder of Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes. Their organization has provided almost $1 million in support to military charities through their partnership with Birdies for the Brave and we were thrilled to be able to work with them! They helped to give our families an absolutely beautiful day!
A Dream Shower
Baby showers are all about having fun, celebrating the arrival of a new baby (or two!) and receiving items to help welcome them! We aim to make every shower a dream for our moms and this one did not disappoint! The moms received our signature Shower in a Box, filled with goodies and essentials for each baby. In addition to the gifts in the boxes, as the moms entered the shower, they designed onesies; the winners of this contest received a $60 gift certificate from Stuck On You! There was also a raffle where 3 lucky moms went home with crib sheet sets for the nursery.
No baby shower is complete without games! The moms competed in fun games to win a variety of prizes; a “dream” basket with sleep-related items, jewelry from Kendra Scott, and a bundle of items from 4moms were just some of the things they were able to win and take home.
Our families are so sweet and deserve the same delicious treats at their baby shower! Creating Awesomenessity, The Princess Baker, and Sea Pines Country Club gave them the most beautiful treats to enjoy.
Keep Dreaming
The moms were also able to complete “connection cards” to help them stay in touch with the new friends they made at the shower. Part of bringing moms together at our showers is to make sure they know they have someone to lean on. We hope they stay connected in their new found friendships.
Our shower day photographer, Nadia Hurtt Photography generously gifted our moms with a newborn baby photo session!
