No monkey-ing around!
What an adventure to honor 19 military moms-to-be at the Champions Club during the Honda Classic! Operation Shower partnered again with Birdies for the Brave to recognize and spoil these amazing moms (and husbands!) from local military bases who were either active duty themselves or the spouse of a deployed loved one. Our expedition was made possible by our wonderful sponsors, Milan Homes in partnership with Ten23 Designs and our supporting sponsor, the PGA TOUR Wives Association.
Serving as guest host/emcee of the event was Maggie Streb, wife of PGA TOUR player Robert Streb. “It’s a privilege to show appreciation to these amazing military moms-to-be during this special Operation Shower event,” said Maggie. “On behalf of the PGA TOUR Wives Association, we truly admire the courage and strength of military moms experiencing pregnancy during deployment, and are delighted to help provide an opportunity for them to celebrate and share camaraderie with other moms in the same situation.”

No sack lunches on this safari as Spectrum Catering provided a wonderful lunch while the moms decorated onesies (for prizes!), played fun shower games, received a signature Shower in a Box, an AWESOME stroller and the opportunity to win ferocious raffle prizes. Special thanks to 4moms, Playtex Baby and Gund for donating the much loved items that every mom received and gushed over.
Lastly, a special Operation Shower thank you to the Couture Club, Dipp Photo, Modern Image by Candy and all the other amazing volunteers who helped not only set up, but make sure shower day was WILD and fun. We sure love our volunteers!
