For the fifth year in a row, Presenting Sponsor, GEHA teamed up with the Chiefs Women’s Organization to host the “Hello, Pumpkin” themed baby shower for 25 military moms-to-be. Honorees in attendance were active duty service members, and/or spouses of deployed or active duty service members from nearby bases. As moms arrived, they were greeted by volunteers and a gorgeous balloon display from Up Up and Away Balloons, and marque letters from Alpha-Lit – KC.
The celebration included lunch catered by Levy Restaurants, delicious cake from Cami’s Cake Co, fun games, and tons of surprises. Each honoree received Operation Shower’s signature “Shower In A Box” which contained a variety of gifts from Mud Pie, shoes from Pediped Footwear, Wubbanubs pacifiers, Skip Hop diaper bags, toys from Fat Brain Toys, and much more. It was such a joy to share “Eddie & Fred: We’re all heroes” a book provided by CWO, Diana Reynolds. Additionally, honorees received jewelry from Stella & Dot, 4moms rockaRoos, and special gifts from GEHA, and the Chiefs Women’s Organization. The final prize of the day – a crib from Delta Children – is what stole the show, after it was announced that all of the honorees would go home with a crib!
