What a way to kick off 2023! Feeling the “Love”, PepsiCo with support from UNM Athletics and Operation Shower partnered up to host our first group baby shower for military moms and moms-to-be in the Land of Enchantment… New Mexico! Taking place at The Pit at University Arena in Albuquerque, a legendary venue full of exciting historical moments, the guests were treated to games, a catered lunch and awesome baby gifts by donors such as Mud Pie, Delta Children, 4Moms and Diaper Genie.
Jeff Siembieda, executive director of the New Mexico Bowl, kept moms laughing and entertained while special guests such as Megan A. Cornett, Colonel, USAF Commander, 377th Mission Support Group Kirtland AFB spoke about the importance of recognizing military moms in today’s world.
“PepsiCo has a long legacy of supporting America’s military families and hiring veterans across both our business and the communities we serve including through our employee resource group, PepsiCo Valor, which supports veterans within PepsiCo and beyond across the country,” said Senior GM Market Director of Colorado/New Mexico/West Texas, PepsiCo Shawn Early. “We are delighted to join with Operation Shower and the University of New Mexico to express our tremendous gratitude to military families for everything they do in service to our country.”
Operation Shower’s long-time goal of throwing a shower in New Mexico finally came true on this special day for our first shower of the new year!
