Main Street Activities
We were excited to be able to come together again at THE PLAYERS Championship to shower deserving military moms. Presented by United Rentals and along with the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation, Chicco USA, and Birdies for the Brave, we were able to create some beautiful moments that 39 families will remember for a lifetime!
Upon their arrival to Main Street, the moms decorated onesies for their little ones. A handmade shower keepsake is always enjoyed by our families! Lunch was served, the photo booth was snapping and gifts from THE PLAYERS Championship were given out as we started the day.
With Jim and Tabitha Furyk as our hosts, they introduced our special military guests to the day’s honorees. Captain David Yoder, the Commanding Officer of NAS Mayport, thanked the Navy and Coast Guard families for their service. Captain Michael Connor, Commander Patricia Tyler, and their spouses were also there to welcome and honor our families. Captain Connor is the Commanding Officer of NAS JAX and Commander Tyler is the Executive Officer of NAS Mayport.
Main Street Gift Shop
No baby shower is complete without games and prizes! The Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation gifted our families with an assortment of baby products, including a pair of shoes from Freshly Picked and some very swanky outfits!
Our moms discovered that it pays to have everything in their purse! For the “What’s in your purse?” game, Grant Thornton gave them $30 Visa Gift Cards and Morgan Stanley gave gift boxes with a too cute elephant lovey and baby clothes.
To make sure that mom is pampering herself, these lucky ladies won $50 gift cards from Lula Roe by Michelle Donahue! Kendra Scott gave every mom jewelry just as beautiful as they are and Massage Envy gifted each mom with a massage and pedicure.
Our Showers in a Box were definitely a main attraction. Pumping Essentials, Kiinde, Picaboo Photo Books, United Through Reading, and MAM USA were just a few of the incredible donors who generously gave to our military families. If that wasn’t quite enough, Chicco gave each family a carrier, high chair, and a play yard! WOW!
It’s a good thing our moms got those massages! They’re going to need them after taking all of their gifts home!
Main Street Magic
Magic happens on Main Street because of the time and talents of some incredible people! The theme was created by Tania Fischer Design. Lauren of Ten23 Designs brought it to life with her beautiful skills. Simply Weddings by Amanda provided stunning florals; Bright Settings and PROM created beautiful tables for each of our guests. Zoe’s provided the delicious meal and Veteran’s Pride Entertainment was on hand to keep the shower fun and upbeat!
