Yes! Yes! Yes! We shot. We scored!
The Islanders Children’s Foundation and Operation Shower joined forces on Tuesday, April 4, to host a baby shower for 25 military moms-to-be. This was the 3rd time we have collaborated with the New York Islanders and our 2nd time hosting an in person shower the beautiful UBS Arena. We are grateful once again for the additional support from Islanders partner Ryan, LLC.
The hockey-themed baby shower featured a catered lunch, raffle prizes, and the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature “Showers in a Box”- gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been generously donated by companies including Yumi, Stop & Shop, Greater Goods, V-Tech, 4moms, Diaper Genie, Busy Baby and Delta Children.
Expectant mom, MSG broadcaster Shannon Hogan served as the event’s emcee and we were joined this year by Islanders player wives and significant others. The energy was electric and together we all accomplished our GOAL – giving these 25 families a day of fun and showing them just how much we appreciate their sacrifice!
