On November 27th, we held a shower for 35 military moms with our presenting sponsor Lendlease (US) Community Fund at the beautiful Intercontinental Washington D.C. Wharf. Together with the support of IHG Army Hotels, moms were treated to a gorgeous view, wonderful food and some very special guests.
Senators Tammy Duckworth and Jodi Ernst helped us honor the moms with heartfelt words of gratitude and encouragement. It was such an honor to have them both speak as they are both not only mothers, but also Veterans.
Hosted by Angie Goff, the shower was full of waves of surprises for each mom! From their Showers in a Box to Carousel Designs gift cards, $50 Target gift cards, Ring Sling carriers, 4moms Bounceroos and so much more, this “Oceans of Love” theme shower helped prepare each mom to set sail on their parenthood journey!
The graphic design from Paper&Cake served as the inspiration for the day and truly set the stage for a magical and memorable day for everyone in attendance. It was the perfect way to navigate into the holiday season and give back to those who have given so much for all of us.
