While winter storms made for an interesting trek to the Stifel Theatre, nothing could stop us from throwing a celebration to remember for 25 military families in St. Louis! Mutual of Omaha and, the St. Louis Blues’ Better Halves made it all possible and today, we’re sharing all of the details from this oh, so sweet “Oh, Baby!”shower for military families!
Oh, So Lovely!
Tania Fischer Designs dreamt-up the graphics for “Oh, Baby!” With a chic color-scheme of bright coral, navy, and gold, this shower was a fun-filled, polka-dot frenzy! Bright and colorful linens and cheery balloon bouquets filled the Premier Ballroom Presented by Centene, making it the perfect environment for the joy that would soon ensue.
Guests stopped by the Fish Eye Fun photo booth where photographer, Samantha returned to capture some adorable MOMents! We love looking through the Fish Eye Fun album, as it is truly evident in the images that these mamas were having a ball!
Desserts That Hit the Spot!
After a delicious meal from Levy Catering was served, it was time for dessert! Piccione Pastry, Harter Bakery, Anna Shea Chocolates, The Cakery Bakery, Ingredient Love Cookie Co., and Joyful Sweets Bakery all contributed to the oh-so-divine array of treats! What a dream!
Oh, Better Halves!
KMOX News Anchor and Talk Show Host, Debbie Monterrey served as our emcee for the day, along with several St. Louis Blues’ Better Halves: Shannon Allen (Wife of STL Blues Goalie, Jake Allen), Kelsey Schenn (Better Half of Blues Forward, Brayden Schenn), Dominique Pino (Better Half of Blues Interim Head Coach, Craig Berube), Amber Van Ryn (Better Half of Assistant Coach, Mike Van Ryn), and Francesca Vangel (Better Half of Forward Pat Maroon) were just a few of the Better Halves in attendance for this very special day.
Guests also heard from Elias Corpas, Managing Director at Mutual of Omaha-Gateway, who expressed his gratitude for the many sacrifices that our servicemen, servicewomen and their families endure. Elias even joined in on the fun, helping answer trivia questions about several well-loved children’s books.
Oh, Gifts!
Dominique Pino, Better Half of St. Louis Blues’ Head Coach, Craig Berube, made the shower even more exciting for those in attendance by giving all of the moms a super functional Daniela bag from Dominique’s collection, MySportivo.
But, the gifts certainly did not stop there! Playtex® sent each mom home with a Newborn Essentials Gift Bundle, which included a Playtex® Diaper Genie! Additionally, moms received our signature Shower in a Box, jewelry from Kendra Scott – St. Louis, an unbelievable stroller from 4moms, and Carousel Designs custom crib sheets.
