We are over the moon to have partnered with the PGA TOUR’s The Honda Classic and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, to host a group baby shower for military moms-to-be from area military bases. The shower took place on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens. Special guests included Dr. Anthony Orsini, Section Chief of Neonatology and Medical Director of Wellness Program, Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists. Dr. Orsini provides services at Jupiter Medical Center. He is also a TEDx speaker, author of the book, It’s All In The Delivery, and president and founder of The Orsini Way.
Our “Over the Moon”-themed event was presented by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital with support from The Honda Classic, Pratt & Whitney and Garden of Life, and included a catered lunch, raffles and contests with prizes. The highlight of the event was the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature Shower In A Box – gifts of high-quality products for mothers and babies that have been donated by generous companies including the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, 4moms, Mud Pie, Cotton Bottom Diaper Bank, Garden of Life, Frida and Pratt & Whitney.
“We were excited to join with Operation Shower and The Honda Classic to provide these extraordinary moms and moms-to-be with an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful milestone together,” said Nicklaus Children’s Health System President and CEO Matthew Love.
“Whether they are serving abroad or keeping everything running smoothly at home so their loved ones can proudly serve our country, we owe these amazing women a tremendous debt of gratitude.” The Honda Classic Executive Director Andrew George said, “It’s a privilege to help bring a day of joy to these amazing women as part of our longstanding support for our military. In the military, families serve too – making innumerable sacrifices to keep America safe and free.”
It was such a lovely day with these special moms that we were truly over the moon with gratitude and appreciation for those families that serve our country.
