Summer Fun with Babies “R” Us
Summer is winding down but we can’t help but take a look back at some Summer Fun at Ft. Drum. It was an amazing time with our sponsor, Babies “R” Us, and 40 deserving moms!
We brought some bright and cheery summer decor to Ft. Drum, inspired by graphics by Hostess with the Mostess. It was just like a beautiful and fun day at the beach! Never underestimate the power of bright colors to bring in the sunshine for a great time with friends!
The shower included fun props like oversized sunglasses, sand pails, beach balls, flip flops, and sand. Summer time calls for popsicles, so the moms created cute bibs for their littles to help catch any sticky messes.
Summer Celebrations
Of course the moms had to be prepared for a day at the beach with their babies! We treated each moms with lots and lots of souvenirs from their Summer vacation to Operation Shower Beach. Thanks to the generosity of Babies “R” Us and many other generous companies, we were able to give some much needed items to our honored military families. Of course they couldn’t make the trip without a travel pillow and getting there would require baby bottles to hold juice for a warm day of adventures. Our moms were also gifted with raffle prizes from 4moms, Summer Infant, and lots of other incredible donors.
As the moms enjoyed the shower, they were able to bond with each other and share waves of smiles, laughter, and a few tears of joy as they were celebrated for their selflessness and celebrated the arrival of new members to their families.
All in all, it was an awesome trip and we are so honored that we got to share part of our Summer with these deserving and gracious moms.
