We had a “wild” time on our “Sunshine Safari” in San Diego at the Farmers Insurance Open at the beautiful Torrey Pines Golf Course. We are grateful once again to partner with Birdies For The Brave® to bring our deserving military moms-to-be to another great PGA TOUR location.
Forty moms-to-be whose husbands were deployed or deployed sometime during their pregnancy, were invited to a special day presented by Datron World Communications, sponsored by Pottery Barn Kids, with support from Carousel Designs and Carl’s Jr.
Special guests included Holly Finchem, wife of PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem; recording artist Michelle Penn, who performed during the Shower; and our Emcee, noted celebrity event planner Brian Worley.
Moms were treated to a shower full of gifts from generous donors, food from the Carl’s Jr. Star Diner, sweets from vendors and expertly displayed by Sweets Indeed. Moreover, they were treated to a time to know how much they are appreciated and an opportunity to share laughs and happy tears with other moms in their same situation. And, laughs and happy tears there were!
Another fun aspect of this shower was a Table Design event with Pottery Barn Kids, printables by Paper & Cake and twelve talented Southern California and Arizona event designers. We agree with the sentiment we’ve heard from others…”how are you ever going to top this?” Every table was a feast for the eyes!
But that’s not all! Project Nursery sponsored a very special photo booth area with photos by The Pixel Studio. Every mom was able to take home a “bump” photo or pregnancy photo to capture this special time in their lives. What a touching treat!
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better…Pottery Barn Cribs closed the show with a crib for every mom. Yes, every single mom (and two for twins!).
Thank you to everyone that made this such a wonderful day! We can’t do it without you!
