On November 16th, we brought our mission home to St. Louis, Missouri to shower 30 military moms and moms-to-be with gifts and gratitude.
The “Welcome, Little One” shower was made possible by support from the St. Louis Blues. Our hosts were the lovely Amanda Elliott and the rest of the St. Louis Blues Better Halves, who helped make the shower so much fun for all the families who attended.
Delightful decor and delicious desserts
The “Welcome, Little One” shower was absolutely beautiful thanks, in part, to the lovely graphic design work of Ria Sharon. The decorations featured stunning floral arrangements from Troy Flower Shop, muted colors and delicate gold details.
The dessert table is one of our favorite parts of every shower—with delicious baked goods arranged so prettily we almost don’t want to touch, how could it not be! The Welcome, Little One dessert table was no different. The desserts featured floral details and sat on a mossy green table that made the whole arrangement look like a whimsical scene from a fairy tale!
The gorgeous desserts were the work of Anna Shea Chocolates, Creating Awesomenessity, and Piccione Pastry. They sat atop gorgeous vintage pieces from Finch Vintage Rentals.
Gifts and games for our military families
With help from the generous donors who make all of our showers possible, we gave the moms at our Welcome, Little One shower lots of gifts to take home for their new babies, plus some special presents for them to enjoy themselves, like Stella & Dot jewelry and Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags.
The moms and their families got to have fun pictures taken with accessories like giant sunglasses and sparkly hats thanks to the Fish Eye Fun Photo Booth, and RockStar DJs made sure the shower was complete with the best music and lighting.
The Blues Better Halves led everyone in fun games and activities like onesie decorating, new baby trivia and more. Then, they presented the moms with some St. Louis Blues onesies and bibs—so cute!
It was so much fun for Operation Shower to give back to the military families living in the St. Louis area, where we work every day on our mission of bringing joy to military families one baby shower at a time!
What a wonderful final shower of the year! We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
